ROOF PERMANENT GUARDRAILS

The ultimate expert in height access for more than 30 years, Echelle Canada takes care of securing your roofs by offering roof protection guardrails to secure the movement of operators on roofs.

The self-supporting guardrail is a collective fall protection system. It is the ideal solution for securing terraces.

Its design allows quick and easy installation thanks to the fixing of the handrail by
a dovetail clamp system and the interlocking of the secondary rail with a shrinkage nozzle.

Our permanent self-supporting guardrails ensure the safety of maintenance workers. Self-supporting guardrails are extremely popular to permanently eliminate the risk of falling from your roofs.

Fixed anchors

A roof anchor point is a device used to secure personal protective equipment or to install a guardrail at heights. It is indispensable for working at heights, as it ensures the safety of all workers by preventing them from falling and injuring themselves.

FIXED ANCHORS

Roof anchors must comply with the safety standards. These stipulate that each anchor must be able to withstand a static load of 1 ton (907 kg) and a dynamic load of 220 lbs (100 kg) for a fall of 2.5 metres for one person. The anchor point should also be inspected by a competent person before each use, for added safety. Depending on the nature of the work, the type of industry, and the structure of the building, different types of roof anchors can be used. You can use a permanent or temporary roof anchor point. The former is designed to remain permanently on a given surface and become an integral part of the building, while the latter is useful for short periods. Temporary anchors are quicker and easier to install. There are also rigid roof anchors with a single eye, or ring, and mobile anchors for cables or rails. These allow the user to move along the entire length of the system using a glider or a fall-arrest trolley.
